Introduction and Purpose
Empowering patients is vital, so they feel motivated to manage their glaucoma. When patients understand their condition and treatment, they are more likely to stay on track with medication, which allows them to not just live with, but live well with glaucoma. Together, we can aim to elevate the standard of glaucoma care and empower patients to live well with their condition.
These patient materials are designed to:
• Increase patient understanding of glaucoma and its impact
• Promote treatment adherence
• Encourage meaningful conversations between patients and their eye care providers
• Provide practical tips for patients to live well with glaucoma
About this Initiative
This initiative is a collaboration between the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society (APGS) and Santen Asia, created to support ophthalmologists in educating patients across Asia. All content has been independently reviewed and approved by APGS to ensure medical accuracy and relevance. While Santen supported production, APGS maintained full editorial independence throughout the development process.
