Dr. Visanee Tantisevi obtained a medical degree with honours from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, and completed a Diploma in Ophthalmology and Glaucoma Fellowship training at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Bangkok. Later, she received a Certificate in Clinical Glaucoma Fellowship from The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA), University of Melbourne, Australia.

Dr Tantisevi currently holds a number of appointments including Associate Professor of Ophthalmology; Vice Chairman and Head of Human Resource and Physicals management, Head of Center of Excellence in Glaucoma, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok Thailand.

She is also appointed Glaucoma Consultant at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health as well as a regular consultant at MedPark Hospital, a top-tier private international hospital in Bangkok. She is the Public Relations and International Affairs officer for the Thai Glaucoma Society.

Dr. Tantisevi is now a board member of the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society.

Her interest is not limited to glaucoma but also in cataract surgery, especially cataract in glaucoma patients which is always a challenge to her. As a trainer, she has been doing, mentoring, and participating in glaucoma and/or cataract researches both locally and internationally.

Apart from the above-mentioned, she has lots of experiences in organizing numerous national and international scientific meetings, namely, Asia Pacific Glaucoma Congress 2016 in Chiang Mai, The Thailand Glaucoma Camp 2015-2019, these highly successful meetings had Dr Tantisevi as their major team lead. She is also a founder of The Interhospital Glaucoma Conference, the academic meeting of the Thai Glaucoma Society for residents and glaucoma fellows. As an expert, she is regularly invited to speak and chair sessions in various national and international scientific conferences including World Glaucoma Congress as well as an invited reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals in Ophthalmology.
