Robert Ang

Dr. Robert Edward Ang is a Senior Consultant, Chief of Research and Head of Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Asian Eye Institute in Makati City, Philippines. He undertook two fellowship programs (first in Glaucoma, then Cornea and Refractive Surgery) at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Ang has participated in 82 clinical trials on laser eye surgery, presbyopia/cataract/phakic IOL technology and glaucoma MIGS and drug delivery devices.  

He was also the recipient of the Certified Educators Award from the Asia Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (APACRS), the Presidential Recognition Award from the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS), and Senior Achievement Award from the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO). Dr. Ang was twice recognized in the Powerlist 100 by the Ophthalmologist Magazine in 2018 and 2024.  In 2025, he was cited in the Stanford Elsevier Top 2% Scientist List.
