Catherine Jiu Ling Liu

Dr. Catherine Jui-Ling Liu is a professor of Ophthalmology, the School of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taipei, Taiwan. She has been the chairperson of the Department of Ophthalmology, Taipei Veterans General Hospital from 2015 to 2022, as well as President of the Ophthalmological Society of Taiwan from 2017 to 2020. Now she serves as a superior level attending staff in the same hospital.

Prof. Liu was part of the steering committee that developed the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Society, having previously been a key committee member of the Asia-Oceanic Glaucoma Society. She has been dedicated to the practice and research in the field of glaucoma, as well as medical education and prevention of blindness, for more than 30 years. Dr. Liu has published more than 140 peer-reviewed articles and has served as a reviewer for several prestigious journals including Ophthalmology, Archives of Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology and Eye, and a commentator in International Glaucoma Review, and now the Associate Editor-in-Chief in Taiwan Journal of Ophthalmology.
